At the moment, in 1973 built factory employs 60 persons and daily manufactures finished leather about 1500 square metres of upholstery, shoe and bag leather. About 40 per cent of our production is exported. The company is a part of Sievi Group, which employs over 500 persons. The raw materials mainly consist of Scandinavian rawhides. In these rough circumstances the hides become enduring and of good quality. The good quality in hygiene and good nutrition of Scandinavian bovine breeding make the hides excellent raw material for manufacturing leather. In order to keep up with the latest developments, Lapuan Nahka invests considerable sums in new machinery, research and development every year. Lapuan Nahka Oy follows a certified Quality System, ISO 9001 and a Certified Environmental Management System, ISO 14001.
